Community/Facility-Scale Tribal Renewable Energy Project Development and Finance Workshop
Save the Date: Week of September 16, 2013
Golden, Colorado

Presented by the DOE Office of Indian Energy and EERE Tribal Energy Program with support from DOE's National Renewable Energy Laboratory, this interactive workshop will walk participants through five steps to help tribes understand the process for and potential pitfalls of developing community and facility-scale renewable energy projects. Events
Save the Date: Tribal Energy Program Review November 18–22, 2013

Recognizing tribes' increasing interest in energy efficiency and renewable energy, our annual Program Review is a gathering that enables tribes to meet and learn from other tribes that are pursuing energy sufficiency through efficiency and/or renewable energy projects, and to share in each other's successes.
Held in Denver, Colorado, this unique forum provides an excellent overview of the wide range of renewable energy and energy efficiency projects under way in Indian Country. The review will include an overview of the Tribal Energy Program and a series of presentations by tribes exploring or deploying weatherization, energy efficiency, and renewable energy technologies across the nation.

Because human capacity is also a focus of the Tribal Energy Program, you will also learn about our internship program and hear directly from young and inspiring Native American students about their experiences and summer projects.

For more information, contact tribal@go.doe.gov.
